Terms and Conditions.

    1. Fees and Payment

  • Full fees or the deposit of £250 must be paid to us before we can reserve a place or book accommodation.
  • All fees must be paid to us 30 days before the course.
  • Visa student are required to pay a registration fee of £40.
  • If full payment has not been received by the start date of the course, the student will not be admitted to class and will have to leave any accommodation booked through us.

    2. Services

  • In the event of circumstances beyond our control we may change the services offered such as locations, courses, facilities and dates of programmes.
  • Where the number of students in a group at any level is less than 15, students will be taught as one group by one teacher. If the number of students exceeds 15, the group will be divided into two and be taught by two teachers.
  • Lessons are held at a central place in Tiverton. Coaches or minibuses for trips will leave from a parking area nearby.
  • Each morning of classes consists of 3 x 1 hour lessons.

    3. Refunds and Cancellation Policy

  • Should you cancel more than 30 days prior to departure, An English Lifestyle will retain 30% of the course fees being the total quoted price for the group.
  • Should you cancel between 21-30 days prior to departure, An English Lifestyle will retain 50% of the total quoted price for the group.
  • Should you cancel between 8-20 days prior to departure, An English Lifestyle will retain 75% of the total quoted price for the group.
  • Should you cancel less than 8 days prior to departure, An English Lifestyle will retain 100% of the total quoted price for the group.
  • No fees will be refunded if a student cancels or curtails their course on or after the start date.
  • We may charge a booking amendment fee of £25 if you change the course you originally booked.

    4. Insurance

  • We do not provide insurance for individual students, leaders or groups. We ask that travel insurance is taken by you when booking your flights.

    5. Health

  • You should be in good physical and mental health at the start of the course and you should declare any health conditions on your student or leader application form.
  • We will ensure that should you become ill whilst in the U.K. we will consult a medical helpline for advice and if necessary make an appointment with a doctor.
  •  

    6. Disputes

  • If any student or accompanying leader of the group is unhappy with any aspect of the course, they should write to the Director of Studies before the student or leader leaves on the last day. We will investigate the complaint and give you feedback on our findings.

    7. Liability

  • Our company, staff or representatives are not liable for any loss, damage or injury to people or property.
  • Any activity undertaken during a student’s course is strictly at their own risk and no responsibility will be taken by An English Lifestyle for injury to persons or damage to or loss of property.
  • An English Lifestyle cannot be held responsible for any delay, accident or loss which may happen during the student’s stay with the homestay family or during any extra- curricular trip or off-site activity.

    8. Prices

  • We reserve the right to change prices as a result of government regulations, tax increase, exchange rate variations or other events beyond our control.

    9. Conduct of Students

  • An English Lifestyle reserves the right to expel any student whose conduct is unsatisfactory at the discretion of the Centre Director, whose decision is final. No fees will be refunded in such cases and any unpaid fees become payable immediately.
  • Students who cause damage will have to pay the full cost of replacement or repair.
  • Students will be sent home at their own expense if they drink alcohol, take drugs or are found smoking at the centre. The illegal use of drugs and alcohol is unacceptable.
  • All students must follow the rules of each course and follow the instructions of our staff. All students are expected to behave in a polite manner and to respect fellow students and staff.

    10. Travel and Transfers

  • Course fees do not include flights or other transport to the U.K
  • Transfers from your arrival airport to your accommodation are included in the total fees charged. Transfers back to your departure airport from the centre are included in the total fees charged.
  • You must provide us with full details of your flight and arrival time, date and airport at least 7 days before your start date. Failure to do so may result in you incurring extra costs for providing incorrect, delayed or inadequate information.

    11. Photographs

  • An English Lifestyle reserves the right to use photographs taken whilst students are participating in one of the courses. We would only use this for publicity purposes. If parents of any student do not wish their child to be photographed, they should state this clearly on the application form.

    12. Data Protection

  • Information given to An English Lifestyle may be held on computer and will be used in accordance with the national data protection laws.
